COLLEEN MARES
Colleen hails from the woods of northeast Wisconsin but has considered Chicago home for the last 10 years. She started her career in the music industry while still in college, working at a music licensing firm and promoting independent concerts throughout the city. In 2013, she left Universal Music Publishing and jumped on tour with a young Chance The Rapper. The team spent the next seven years growing his fan base from college shows to sold-out arena tours, headlining festivals around the world, and winning three Grammys in 2017 including the first-ever won by a completely independent artist and by a streaming-only release.
Today, Colleen is a manager in the Chance organization helping oversee his projects in the music, television, film, and partnership space. She is also a minority owner of the Chicago Red Stars, the city’s professional women’s soccer team, and a weekend wanna-be semi-pro golfer who can be found on courses around Chicago in the summer, rain or shine.
